Part

A performance by Sarah Waelchli

Part takes us on a journey of discovery to a mysterious world, a new planet of unexplored horizons. At first, dancers and musicians feel blindly their way around but they gradually take over this unchartered territory, opening it up to them as they both create and explore it. To begin with, only sounds and glimmers of light guide the dance but a virgin landscape slowly emerges. The performers write its story, invent its rules and draw its contours. The landscape, imagined or dreamed by its creators, plunges us into a poetic world where nothing is permanent, everything is constantly being constructed and deconstructed. In this shifting world, energy flows in ever fluctuating patterns between the performers and their visual and auditory environment.
